The statutory language right of the Sri Lankan citizen is: Sinhala and Tamil shall be Bilingual, Official Languages, as well as National Languages and, English, shall be link language. Inter alia the citizen shall be used Education, Administration and Judicial affairs and also no citizen shall be discriminated on the grounds of language.
