“Alut Dinak” Programme
March 1, 2024On 2nd March 1815, Wariyapola Sumangala Thero hoisted the Sri Lankan flag against British Regime. 2nd March 1944 is the day when Kumaratunga Munidasa, an eminent scholar of 20th Century passed away. Based on these two events, the 2nd March has been declared by Sri Lankan government as the ‘Sinhala Language Day’.
